Friends

Hey Friend
Thanksgiving has passed and we are all thankful for family and friends.
Christmas is over and we are blessed, those of us who have people to
call friends. We are moving into a new year and looking back at what
has passed. I am also thinking. I am thinking of my friends. But what
is meant by the word friend?

I felt it only proper to look up “friend” in the dictionary, “

–noun
1. a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
2. a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter:
friends of the Boston Symphony.
3. a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile:
Who goes there? Friend or foe?
4. a member of the same nation, party, etc.”
from  http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/friend

I didn’t know what to expect but I guess I have a lot of friends, many
many more than I knew about. I hope that they all don’t want to come
over for supper at the same time. Please don't be insulted if I don't
remember or call you all by name.

So to all my friends, Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year
and may you be blessed with health and smiles and peace.

Trust

How am I to gain your trust?  How am I to regain your trust?  How did I loose it?  When did I loose it?  Did I ever have it?  Why do you trust me?  Do you trust me?  Should I trust you?  Should you trust me?  Does love equal trust?  Does trust equal love?  Why do I care?  Do I care?

I care.  Do you?

When you see the Squirrel's nest, Look twice

On October 27 as I was driving in the country, I saw a squirrel's nest. As I was on gravel and looking for things to take a photo of going slowly, I looked twice as it looked a little different. I stopped and this is what I saw high in the tree on a very very windy day. I guess I never really thought about where they slept assuming a hole in the ground somewhere. So, is that nest you see a nest? By the way, if you don't know, it is a raccoon.

5 Variation of the Same Photo - Geese Over the Corn

The first photo is the original, the second is the same with the exposure increased by one. The next three are HDR(high definition resolution) images as are those on HDRcreme that I have the link to on the right. I like the second and third. Think I'll print the third to see how it looks.

Pumpkin on a Porch

These four pictures show the progression from the original to the point I stopped. Photo one is what the camera captured, two after some processing with Dynamic Photo HDR (I didn't spend much time or work hard with it), three is after my adjustments using Photomatrix Pro, and the forth is a little more harsh rendition also using Photomatrix Pro.
I wish they would all work out this well.

Perceptions and Lack of Communication

I am what I am and what I will be until I decide to be something else. I love who and what I love and will continue to do so until I decide to change. If I have, in your perception, done something wrong or hurt you, I am the first person you should talk to. Do to lack of that one to one communication, I am now censored and shut out from something I enjoyed.
So, I am perceived to have wronged or stepped outside a boundary and based on that perception, I am shackled and have lost some freedom. But these perceptions are not one sided and based on them you have lost some freedoms as well.

In life when there is a lack of communication, we all loose.....

Sadness Grows inside me

Sadness grows inside me
Empty feelings guide me
Silence only hides me
Hides me from my truth.

Truth is someone's fiction
Not spoken Not written
Past truths now forgotten
Those truths of my past.

Past silences that haunt me
Past feelings that hurt me
Past truths that hide me
Hides me from my truth.

" O.K. 'Old Man' so what did you do on Monday?" he asked.........

On Monday, after fasting from 10 o'clock Sunday night, I went for my routine physical. Nine a.m. with new forms to fill and more blood to take, a flu shot, and to sit there naked but the Dr. smiles and tries not to look at a body but tries to see a person and a body.

Next was to get the car washed and after my breakfast and a little quiet time, I waxed it. Oh does it shine. Leather coat needs more repairs and then camera in hand I took some photos of a man panning for gold here in the city limits. I've talked to him before and he has experience doing it and seems to know what he is doing. Don't know if he got anything but it was a beautiful day to be alive....

"So what did you do on Sunday "Old Man'" he said....

Sunday, after  finally got moving, I grabbed my camera and rode around town. I saw people taking graduation pictures and family pictures, I saw a man flying a kite from the top of a parking ramp, I looked for places to take photos and I took a photo of the flag and a gas station that a friend manages, a glass building that I have always disliked but now find I love the reflections, and one downtown building being torn down to make way for new. Beautiful day to be alive.
